This structure has been standing for thousands of years, mostly due to the amount of pillars that are supporting the structure, however, if there was only a few pillars then the structure would definitely not still be standing. Now imagine the roof is your business, supporting your business should be multiple pillars, some of those pillars could be:
- Printed Newsletters
- Social Media
- Referral marketing
- Direct Mail
- Email marketing
- Phone Calls
- Sign written vehicle
You get the idea & this list is by no means exhaustive, marketing pillars can be everything and anything that is used to generate customers or new business.
We all, daily, receive tonnes of emails and are exposed to website advertising and at some stage you become numb to it. Missing out the sponsored adverts on Google disregarding the banner retargeted ads on sites. But receive a nice piece of Direct Mail, letter or Newsletter in your mail and you take time to read it. Done correctly – print – in the marketing mix (that’s very important) can increase your return.
