Stationary Stationery – the spelling that gets left standing!

**WARNING** RANT BELOW!
It’s one thing that annoys more than most – probably at the same level as the they’re, their & there or your & you’re usage.

What annoys me the most about this is people in the industry still use it the wrong way round! So as a quick post I thought I’d let you all know the quick and easy way to remember which way round you should be using them.

StationARY –┬áStanding Still.

Using it in a sentence I’d say. “I was stationary when I read Blue Star Print Solutions blog”

StationERY – The Objects

Letterheads, Business Cards, Compliment slips, pens, pencils or envelopes etc. Using this one in a sentence is easy. “For all your Business stationery needs, just give Blue Star Print Solutions a call”.

Now for the easy way to remember which way round it is; it’s by using that last product… envelopes. E for envelope. That’s it.

The next time you need to remember which spelling you should be using – just remember the envelope.
